I was more refering to a previous email about how CF and Flash were tightly 
integrated... Basically coding server-side CF on the client.

But after reading the white paper, I guess the other http request mechanisms 
have been kept intact (although I hope have been improved)

What solution are you referring to?

If you mean XML implementation in Flash MX, then it doesn't rely on anything
and works with any XML implementation. The XML socket works with pretty much
any socket-based server: Java, Python, Perl...whatever.
