Its been my experience that CFID gets reset when you do an upgrade. CFID is incremented by one with each new session, where the user doesn't already have a CFID. So a user who does not allow cookies burns through a CFIDs with each page request.

Hi, I've got some simple questions about CFID and CFTOKEN Is CFID unique? Is CFTOKEN unique? Is CFID & CFTOKEN combined unique? If I were to use the CFID & CFTOKEN as a primary key in a table, would I ever run the risk of duplicate entries? Thanks for the help, Michel -- "Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute.
