Great info, as always Charlie.  The viewlet worked very well.

I did find a different partial solution to the rds problem for when I'm
constantly working with rds or ftp. By going to Settings/Startup and clicking
"Start in the folder last opened in the Resource Tab", Studio will start in the
directory I was last working in when I closed it down which includes an rds or
ftp connection directory.  By no means a good solution but it does help a bit.
