Something that you might want to weigh out is that Telus and WorldCom aren't all that interested in co-hosting / hosting situations. They are much, much happier when you're parking a rack of servers, heck, even a single machine; in their farm.
It has to do with support costs and licensing. It's just not to their benefit to run a co-hosted environment simply from a cost point of view. I know that there are a lot of people out there who can't afford a co-location on their own. But, consider the power of getting a few people together to get a couple of rack mounting servers, a switch and a firewall and racking it up at a large scale farm like Telus. As long as you administer the box, Telus doesn't give a flying fish what servers run on it. So, in your search for a hosting solution you might want to talk amongst yourselves, organize and pool some case and get into the game. There, I've said me two bits...
