Yeah, but I would NOT recommend that for beginners. Indeed, the complete title is "SQL for Smarties: Advanced SQL Programming". Joe Celko, the author, is very bright and has lots to offer, and the book gets decent reviews at Amazon. Some find it a little too complicated and sometimes over the top.
Just one more thing about the experience level intended, the editorial review by Amazon even states: "This title is not for novices, as the author points out. Instead, its intended audience is SQL programmers with at least a year's experience. " But if you've gotten past the basics (and I mean everything in Ben's book, not just simple SELECTs), then Joe's book (and his "SQL Puzzles" book) can be considered good post-grad education. /charlie > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On > Behalf Of Brian Grant > Sent: Friday, April 19, 2002 2:34 PM > To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' > Subject: RE: [CFTALKTor] Updating counter values > > > There's a good book called "SQL for Smarties" also. > > tks, Brian > > > -----Original Message----- > From: John L.
