Hey Everybody,
I was off the list for a bit while changing jobs, I was wondering if anything ever happened with making a CGI::App best practices application or if it died off.

Every project I do with CGI::App things become a little better and clearer and for me. I've recently moved my development onto linux and have a greater appreciation for all the work the people who have come before me have already done. Anyways, I have some projects and code I've been working that I would eventually like to release to interested parties, but I think it may be best used in an example type project. So, again, if there has been a project started please let me know.

Also, one of the other things I've been working on is simple text editor suited to enhancing work with CGI::App and MySQL. I only did this because I wasn't happy with any of the text editors I have used for linux. (gedit, vi, emacs) Nothing against those editors but for someone coming from windows, well, I guess I'm just used to things being a little cooshier. The productivity enhancing features include a clip library, a macro library, macro creation architecture and for perl files, a list of the functions in the file with the ability to double click the function name and be taken directly to the function (it seems really simple but i hadn't seen it anywhere else). The editor is written using perl/tk. the macro library is also written in perl. the clips are actually written using HTML::Template, and all the template vars are popped up in a dialog box to be filled in when the clip is inserted. There are various other features that make forms for simple database interaction quick, and various other macros suited to working with mysql. (the editor works best for someone running linux and doing development with a local apache server and local mysql server and who still enjoys writing "create table...". what are most people developing on?)

so, what i'm trying to say is that i'm happy with all the help and code and support that has been provided to me thus far, and if there is a need for more tools out there specifically for what we are doing, i have some and i'd like to share.
let me know if anyone is interested,
thanks,
nate
