I authored an ODBC driver for CGI::Session some time ago and have offered repeatedly to help maintain or take over maintenance of CGI::Session. Sherzod will not even return my emails. Which gives me an opportunity to throw out a couple of suggestions:
1) Should I (or someone else) make a stink about it on the Perl module authors list, and see if someone there can coerce him into Doing the Right Thing, or turn maintenance of the module over to one of us? - or - 2) Should we fork our own version of C::S for maintenance with the intention of offering those changes back if Sherzod ever chooses to maintain C::S again? I've pondered the latter at length. What do the rest of you think? -------------------------------------------------- Jason A. Crome Senior Software Engineer, DEVNET, Inc.
