I agree with the disagreement to that one. http://www.metasystema.org/essays/reply-to-useful.mhtml When I get a message from the list, it's from the LIST, not an individual. The default behavior should be to reply to the LIST. Well-behaved mailers allow replies to the author as well. Other reasons are in the rebuttal I linked to, but that's my primary argument. I can't say how many times I've see the CGI::App and HTML::Template lists fracture because the list did not follow that expectation.
