Hullo,
With reference to 06_Break_Apart_Workflows.gif on the
JottingNewItemsWorkflow wiki - How exactly are you going to distinguish
the context of the different modules of information?
== Sample note ==
Meet Jess at 123, xyz street, some city, ST Cell xxx-xxx-xxxx Pick up
food from chinese place.
OR
Meet Jess at
123, xyz street, some city
ST
Jess Cell xxx-xxx-xxxx
Pick up food from chinese place.
==
Is the focus on trying to parse each line separated by newlines and
classify them based on context? In which case, whats the context based
on? Is it based on keywords, and the assumptions that Cell or a 2 digit
state code might belong to a phone number or address?
It looks like another case of Palm's Graffiti as opposed to natural
handwriting recognition here. You could do the above note with the /M,
/E etc too. But it would be a bigger pain, IMO.
Cheers,
Viksit

Hi,
I am working on using the Search Bar for quick item entry. For eg:
typing "/event OSAF staff meeting at 10:45am" in the search bar will
create an event in the Calendar . /mail, /task and /note also create the
appropriate items in the dashboard.

Jeffrey suggested that I could create a drop down list in the search bar
(similar to Firefox) and have options like /Note, /Event ,etc in it,
which will autocomplete, depending on what the user types.
I wanted more suggestions and ideas about what to do with the search bar
and quick-entry item stuff and how to use NLP in it.
Please let me know what you all think.
Thank you,
Darshana
