Hi Viksit,
I have just done natural language date/time parsing till now. I have
submitted the patch (Bug 6249) which integrates it with Chandler. Only
the date/time fields in the Detail view of an event in the calendar is
using the parsedatetime library currently. The next thing I am working
on is the text entry widget for quick item entry.Still havent got to
interpreting emails :). So, I havent looked at the specs or earlier
discussions yet for details. But I think flagging the email would be the
way to do it.
Till now, I havent using NLTK or MontyLingua for parsedatetime. Just
simple regular expressions. But I have been looking into NLTK to get its
feel.
Bye,
Darshana

Hi all,
I was wondering if Chandler is using one of the NLTK or MontyLingua
libraries for the work Darshana's doing? I was just talking to bear on
IRC about the interpretation of emails today. My idea was that based on
certain keywords, an email could be flagged for possible conversion to a
task. Semantic analysis on the text, and an option to "Add as task" pops up.
I'm sure this has been discussed already (be glad if someone could point
me to a discussion? I've seen the small page on the Wiki) - but I
thought I might try and see how that might go while waiting for the MVA
code to move into alpha3! ;)
Cheers,
Viksit
