Hullo, Indeed. Flagging the message such as Thunderbird's very well implemented message system which it uses for Signed/Unsigned, Junk etc would be best. The user could then have an option to "Interpret as Task?" or something similar.
I was just looking at NLTK and MontyLingua, and I see that NLTK has more documentation available, which makes it easier to use and should have a lower learning curve.
