Recurrence Test Spec

Very complete but it's somewhat tedious to read that flattened out
list while it looks like a series of 3 (or so...) nested loops of
tests. Think about a scheme to "factorize" the test cases so that the
plan is easier to read and maintain.
I agree with you about the tediousness of reading these in the present
form and like the idea of trying to somehow "factorize" them to improve
readability. I believe that the factorized version would need to be in
the form of a summary or adjunct to the long list rather than a
replacement to the long listing. Both Aparna and Mikeal have expressed
the opinion that the item by item list is needed (IIRC).
Currently I am generating these from some python scripts. Perhaps the
scripts themselves could serve as the "factorized" version? Or the
scripts could be tweaked to create summaries as well as the item by item
listing. Otherwise I know that test cases need to be written for Cosmo
and Mikeal is planning on creating some sort of web app to generate the
test cases. Perhaps the web app will address the issue of factorizing
the test cases.
