It works to stamp individual occurrences as tasks, but unstamping them
doesn't work well with the soon-to-be-obsoleted way we do sharing.
Grant mentioned a problem with occurrence stamping a few days ago but
I'm not sure what the problem is.

Unfortunately for preview we aren't going to allow individual
occurrences to live in different collections; when you move an
occurrence of a recurring event to a different collection the change
dialog only gives you the option to move the whole series.
