Hi Andreas,
Chandler releases ship with a stripped down version of Python to keep the file download size as small as possible. As a result you will need to get the Chandler source code from the SVN repository and build Chandler using the
make utility in order create a translation egg.

This process is outlined in the Chandler Localization Project web page.

http://chandlerproject.org/Projects/LocalizationProject

If getting and building the source proves a challenge, you can email me your
complete German translation and I can build an egg for you and email
it back to you for testing.

However, building Chandler using pre-built binaries is a fairly simple process.

Thanks for all your help.

We are looking forward to a German translation,
Brian

Hello Brian,
I need help, because i am a little bit confused.

I read this:
http://chandlerproject.org/Projects/LocalizationProject#Localizing Chandler

to test my po file. So, is the description on this web side for linux or windows.

I made a test on my w2k system and here ist the output:
C:\Chandler\release>runpython c:\chandler\tools \createtranslationEgg.py -c -l de

CHANDLERHOME is "C:\Chandler\"
CHANDLERBIN is "C:\Chandler\"
Using C:\Chandler\\release\bin\python.exe c:\chandler\tools \createtranslationEgg
 py -c -l de

So it doesn't work.

Before i made a test with this po file in its folder and write folders name in dos box, after this i had coppied the file into the same folder like createTranslationegg.py, but you see the result.

greetings
Andreas
