Hi Brian,
We are currently about to release Chandler 0.7.4.
If the translation is completed, tested, and found to be bug free
I have only 400 lines to translate, but no chance, because I have no
answer what's about the different keyboard shortcuts:
for example in english:
-&Close will be in german -&Schliessen, so in german the shortcut need &+S AND not &+C,
so what's about it?

Yes, shortcuts in German will differ from the English version. That is expected.

You should choose the best available choice based on the characters in the German word. As you suggested for the English work Close, &Schliessen would be a good choice.

If you wanted to preserve the &c keyboard shortcut for the German version you
would then use S&chliessen.

We currently have translations for French, Finnish, and Swedish.

You might find it helpful to browse the gettext po localization files to see how other translators
handled these type of issues.
