Sounds reasonable to me. FWIW, if CalDAV is "important", we might want to think about making Chandler work with Apple Calendar Server in Leopard (which seems to require digest authentication, currently unsupported).
That'd be great, too, but I think the user base for Google Calendar is a lot larger than the installed base of Apple Calendar Server users...
