*SR. SQL Database Developer / Administrator*
*Auburn Hills, MI*
*6 - 12 month contract with "GREAT" possible extension*
*Summary*:
The Database Developer will act as the technical architect and lead for our
enterprise database environment with deep technical expertise in database
design, ETL writing, reporting and analytics. The role will be responsible
for the architecture, design, development, data integrity, security and
maintenance of the enterprise database environment. The Database Developer
will also be responsible for interaction with key business groups in
understanding their business needs.
* Duties and Responsibilities:*
- Strong understanding of relation database structures and processes
- Strong ability to take business needs for information delivery via
reports, dashboards etc.
- Strong ETL/Data integration using DTS/SSIS coding
- Ability to develop and implement database security policies and
procedures aligned with organizational objectives
- Ability to design dimensional and relational data modeling
- Ability for database creation, monitoring, configuration and
performance tuning
- Experience in database backup and restore methodologies and
implementation.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Experience utilizing report writing best practices ( optimization, use
of joins and sub-queries)
- Working knowledge with T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
- Experience with .Net programming, JavaScript and HTML
- Experience with multiple database platforms (Oracle, Sybase, MySQL,
etc.)
*Qualifications: *
- 5 years plus experience as SQL Developer in a Microsoft SQL Server
environment
- BS in Computer Science, Business Administration, Business
Intelligence or equivalent.
