Dimagi is a socially-conscious technology company that helps organizations deliver quality health care to urban and rural communities around the world. There are two open positions to join our team in India to help test and deploy CommCare, a phone-based application for wide-scale use within the Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) program: Research Assistant: Designed for an Indian Citizen who is fluent in both Hindi and English. Other Indian languages desirable. Global Research Fellow: Designed for person seeking field experience who is fluent in English. Other Indian languages desirable. Will receive a small, volunteer stipend to cover living costs. Both positions will involve travelling to different locations in India to deploy and assess CommCare with a small number of ASHA health workers. You will be help guide the direction of the CommCare application and be the eyes on the ground to communicate between the technical team and the health workers using our tools. The only required skills are that you be an outstanding communicator and problem solver. Any technical skills, research experience, or foreign languages are big plusses. You also must be willing to travel extensively within India. The profile of a candidate who will be happy in this position is someone who prefers small organizations to large ones, enjoys travel and field work, likes to tinker with things, and enjoys independence and improvisation.
