This spring Dartmouth's Institute for Security, Technology, and Society
(ISTS) will host the third workshop on *Securing Information Technology in
Healthcare (*SITH3 <http://www.ists.dartmouth.edu/events/sith3/>*)*. This
invitation-only workshop builds on the success of the first two SITH
workshops in 2010 <http://www.ists.dartmouth.edu/events/sith/> and
2012<http://www.ists.dartmouth.edu/events/sith2/>,
which brought together experts from many disciplines to discuss security
and privacy in information systems for healthcare. This field continues to
evolve extremely rapidly, and this year the workshop will focus on the
especially exciting field of *mHealth – the application of mobile computing
technologies to health and wellness.*

On *16-17 May 2013*, experts in mHealth will convene at the Tuck School of
Business on the Dartmouth campus for a series of presentations and panel
discussions covering a range of topics focused on mHealth applications in
the evolving healthcare setting.

We plan four panels <http://www.ists.dartmouth.edu/events/sith3/> to
address several challenging topics:

   - The intersection of mHealth and behavioral health
   - Evolving business models in mHealth
   - Opportunities for mHealth in the developing world
   - Challenges in securing mHealth infrastructure

Our morning keynote speaker will be Wendy
Nilsen<http://obssr.od.nih.gov/about_obssr/staff/wendy_nilsen_bio.aspx>,
a Health Science Administrator at the NIH Office of Behavioral and Social
Sciences Research. Our welcome dinner will include a presentation by Patty
Mechael <http://mhealthalliance.org/about/staff>, Executive Director of the
mHealth Alliance.

Through funding from Dartmouth College and the National Science Foundation
we are able to cover some costs for invited participants. The workshop is
free, and travel stipends of up to $500 will be provided.

To be considered for an invitation, please send the organizers a one-page
position paper that discusses your interest and background as it relates to
mHealth. Both practitioners and researchers are welcome and encouraged to
submit! The position paper is due by *April 1*, and we will select and
invite participants by *April 15*.

If you have any questions, please contact the workshop sponsors at

.
