Ours is the generation to end global poverty. To accomplish that goal, we need
to help more students find their way from classrooms into meaningful and
long-lasting careers in international development.

   - Right now, it is really hard for students to find their way into
   international development careers.
   - *One Acre Fund
   <http://cts.vresp.com/c/?OneAcreFund/646a37617b/3e073aabaa/e607b0b186>*,
is kicking off a new initiative to *help students find their way into
international development careers* ? with us or in any organization.
   - In exchange, we are seeking campus advocates to do a few simple things
   to help us out.

*What does a campus advocate do?*
Basically, we want campus advocates to help us make the world a better place ?
a place where it is easier for smart people to find their passion in
international development.

   - Every month, we will send students an email. Not spam! We will be
publicizing resources people are interested in ? webinars, internship and
career opportunities, and other meaningful content.
   - Campus advocates will forward the content of that email to anyone who
might be interested ? put it on student group listservs, post it to a few
Facebook groups, tweet it?anything to get the word out.
   - There will be extra-credit if students can proactively find
professors, campus centers, other student groups, where they can forward
that email and spread the word.
   - *The first step is to fill out this application
   <http://cts.vresp.com/c/?OneAcreFund/646a37617b/3e073aabaa/ac5ffb4cf1> by
   October 1st.*

*What?s in it for campus advocates?*

   - A better world. Really! Campus advocates can help smart people to find
   their passion in life.
   - Exclusive access to career advice--webinars, Q&A's, and information on
how to begin and sustain an impactful career.
   - Some One Acre Fund swag--we know you like free t-shirts.
   - Plus...maybe no more ramen noodles? We are giving away 25 $100 Whole
   Foods gift certificates!

*What can I do to help?*

   - If you are a student who genuinely thinks that this could make the
world a better place, *fill out this short application
   <http://cts.vresp.com/c/?OneAcreFund/646a37617b/3e073aabaa/46ad997f7d> by
October 1st* to become a One Acre Fund campus advocate!
   - If you know someone who would be interested, forward this email their
   way! The more the merrier.
   - Make college count?end world hunger one grilled cheese at a time! You
can make a significant contribution to the end of hunger and poverty right
now?while gaining essential leadership skills for a lifelong career of
   impact. Check out FeelGood.org

   - If you?re not a student or aren?t interested, please forward this
email to any students who might be interested. Please let me know if you?d
like to discuss any additional ways One Acre Fund can connect with students
at your campus. For example, we can offer you and your students the
following opportunities: on-campus speakers, remote webinars, periodic
information about our open positions, and general information about careers
   in international development.

Thanks for considering this, and please don?t hesitate to get in touch if you
have any questions!

*More about One Acre Fund:*
Most of the world's poor are farmers, representing the largest and most uniform
group of poor people in the world. One Acre Fund is a growing social
enterprise in Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania that is innovating a new way
of helping farm families to achieve their full potential. Instead of giving
handouts, One Acre Fund invests in farmers to generate a permanent gain in farm
income. We provide farmers with a "service bundle" that includes education,
finance, seed and fertilizer, and market facilitation. Our program is proven
impactful ? every year, we weigh thousands of harvests and measure 50-100%
average gain in farm income per acre. We have laser-like focus on generating
better lives for the people that we serve.
We are growing quickly. In eight years, we have grown to serve 180,000 farm
families with more than 2000 full-time field staff. Our approach has won
widespread validation, winning grants from The MasterCard Foundation and Gates
Foundation. Learn more at www.oneacrefund.org
