Sorry, my poor explanation.

My comment was that even if an array has a domain say:

        var x = [10..19] real;

Fill it with data and then assume that you later do:

        var y = x;
        var z = x * 0.5;

The domain of y is

        10..19

but the domain of z is

        1..10

This seems quite strange;
