Dear Neighbors:
Our coat drive this year was extremely successful in that we collected
700+ coats and delivered over 4,000 pounds of clothing to various
schools, organizations and institutions in the City of Baltimore.
This meant that children that might have had to go to school without
warm clothing found relief in these clothing donations. It also
provided warm coats to Mercy Hospital for the Homeless that are served
by this facility and it gave us the opportunity to serve the IRC with
clothing for children and adults who have escaped from the Sudan,
Iraq, Iran and various other countries with only the clothese on their
back.
We would like to thank the following participants who made this drive
possible:
Heart's Place Shelter
St, John's United Methodist Church
The Book Thing
Ms. Tweefie Milspaugh
Neighbors, friends and people in the industry, too numerous to name
herein
Mary Pat Clarke who put us in contact with Mercy Hospital
So next year remember that we will still be running this service for
those in need, so don't throw away that coat, mittins, gloves, hats
and sweaters because there are people who need them and with a little
cleaning and sometimes fixing they can be recycled back to society.
Thank you,
Christian and Pamela Wilson
