Shortly after I married my late first wife in 1977, I took my newly
acquired kids to the Waverly Library to get library cards. We saw Pam
Kelly there, and she could not have been nicer in introducing the kids
to the library and getting them library cards. She was a wonderful
librarian.
At that time, I already knew Pam from NDC-2 (New Democratic Club, 2nd
District), where she and Charlie were very active and where Mary Pat
Clarke got her start. We did not always agree on candidates, but she
was always gracious to those who disagreed with her. She was always a
class act.
She will be missed.
