Make your own opinion, but at 3:00 PM the Jones Falls was backed up for miles
-- 25th Street was totally backed up from Howard Street to Greenmount Ave.

I am just reporting what I saw--you don't have to believe what I saw. Sorry I
disturbed you Joshua. Offices all over the City were told to close and go home.
Maybe you should listen to the radio when a serious event happens.

Where in the city is "evacuated"? Didn't most people just go outside, realize
hat nothing much was going on, then go back inside? Dirt bikers have been
isrupting traffic in Baltimore for years, earthquake or no.

I hope that the police are on alert.

What made me think of this was a large gang of dirt bikes on Howard Street,
ust an hour ago -- disrupting traffic and then riding down the street on the
idewalk and weaving in & out of traffic..

From what I am reading, the largest earthquake centered when this one was
entered was a 4.8 in 1875. This one was a 5.9, i.e. about 12 times as large
the Richter scale is logarithmic based on common i.e. base 10 logarithms, for
nyone who wants to know how I made the calculation). So I take seriously the
dvice that a bigger shock may occur later, although probably that will not
appen. Be prepared!
