In terms of a talk: is it possible to build something, dense but impressive, in
front of your audience, with running commentary as you develop it?

I'm picturing a traditional REPL-driven process, with completed and accepted
of code persisted in a script.

I did this for a friend & colleague of mine recently and he was blown away. If
one is used to mainstream, verbose, scalar von Neumann languages, then seeing J
-- especially seeing someone use J effectively -- can be very impressive.

PS: if you develop something in the REPL, it will likely be tacit, and will
emphasize verb trains as a matter of course.

PPS: maybe Conway's Game of Life?
