I would actually be interested in helping out in any way I can, but I am still a J novice, and study J haphazardly, although I am trying to write some none "hello world" programs now. So actually, I am a little confused who is repsonsible for what. I understand the J community writes addons, eg Henry Rich's recent dissect addon. But core J, i.e. the updates J602,701,802 etc are built by Jsoftware, or a core team, as I understand it. I was wondering if these updates have anything in the pipeline. What will be in J901, for example?

The J interpreter has been released as open source. If someone wants to sponsor development, that's one thing. But the community surrounding J is a big priority, and to some degree that makes it our responsibility. (Which is why I was curious about your interest.)
