Ha-ha! It comes as a timely warning. Any tool which lets you generate graphs too easily from tabulated data should come with a health warning about misleading graphs. I see I'll need far more than 11 built-in t-tables if I'm to find space for a rogues' gallery.
Recent versions of Apple Numbers come with the ability to generate mickey-mouse charts from users' random data. I was bemused by the sample templates. The newer sports apps (fitbits, Apple Watch) come with a range of graphic displays. This I feel is recruiting gyms and fitness to the swelling ranks of Alternative Medicine. I hadn't heard of the relationship between pirates and global warming. But I did know of the strong correlation, much trumpeted in my younger days, between teachers' salaries and the consumption of alcohol. :) On Mon, 24 Jun 2019 at 23:21, Jose Mario Quintana < [email protected]> wrote: > > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Spaghetti_Monster#Pirates_and_global_warming > > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misleading_graph > > ;) > > > On Sat, Jun 22, 2019 at 3:24 AM Björn Helgason <[email protected]> wrote: > > > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQqPQ0i_fl0 > > > > Þann fös., 21. jún. 2019, 01:54 Ian Clark skrifaði < > [email protected] > > >: > > > > > Jose – thank you for introducing me to Alhazen. > > > Significantly predates René Descartes, whom I recall being taught was > the > > > originator of the Method of Systematic Doubt. > > > Quite clearly the priority belongs to Alhazen. > > > > > > I wrote: > > > > Like the reason why the human eye couldn't have arisen by blind > chance. > > > > > > That was a serendipitous blunder.
