hi  I've one with eeeubuntu - I LOVE IT.
Mine is an 701 and I have /usr mounted on the SD card.
I progam mainly in lisp - no major problem so J would work too. The keyboard
is ok, but there is some things J users should  be aware of and that is the
odd key layout - '|' is Alt Gr - Fn - '|' fo example.  '>' is  Fn - Shift -
'>'.

J users should change the layout. Otherwise acer has a small one with normal
layout - heavy J users should opt for that one I think.
