I don't like any of the MS systems as they try to "help" too much. But then they are so hard to configure if you want to do anything very different. I'm sure that if I took the time I could learn the internals of Windows systems and get them to do all sorts of things. I don't want to. The system on my computer is only to let me do things I would like to do. Like learn more about J. On the other hand, I put Ubuntu on my laptop as an alternate system. It works well but I ran into errors trying to load J. Too lazy to figure out the problem. Linux goes the other way in that it's not really helpful but easy to do things the way I want to do them. Need to find a Linux group to get me going.
