Agree.

As I posted it I realized that didn't convey the joke as Albert 
intended it. He actually said with emphatic pronunciation, "Now it 
shows side ... REAL time!" Meaning, of course, local PDT.

The multiple play on words was appreciated in the office because Paul 
Berry was doing a lot of work with starmap, an APL application for 
drawing a star map given latitude, longitude, and time -- on a 
typewriter terminal... Also in the office, Eugene McDonnell 
contributed a lot of work over the years on interval and calendar 
calculations. The amusement was genuine.

As for wikipedia, that's a word??? I'm quite certain it doesn't 
appear in the reference that Eugene always cited for his date and 
time work - his treasured copy of the 21 volume 8th edition of 
Encyclopedia Britannica which he had received from IBM colleagues as 
a going away gift.
