J Folks,

This chat is completely off topic. I have been
developing an application which you can see at the URL in
the subject. This application fosters social communication
among "neighbors" or other afinity groups via the web. It's
main distinction from other such apps is that users need not
register or sign in and it is hosted completely by Google.

If you go to the link, take a look at my canonical
neighborhood group by typing MMMPath into either of the
input fields and you will see what inspired me to create
this Google based application. Originally this application
was developed to promote carpooling.

Or play around by typing in Playground. Or create
your own group by typing in whatever you want to one of the
fields on the homepage; but there is one difference if you
want to create your own group, you will be asked to register
for a Google account or to sign in to your existing Google
account.

I would love for you to start your own group or to
tell others how to do so.

There is one unique kind of group that I would like
to promote, which involves USA Interstate Highway travelers.
You can see a little of this special type of group by typing
in one of the Highway examples listed on the bottom of the
homepage, such as I75S-Atlanta. This Interstate application
will not likely get off the ground because I cannot think of
a way to publicize it. But I think it would be sort of like
a free version of the truckers' old CB-radio system if it
ever got widely used. Or maybe someone will develop a
similar one for a hiking trail like the Appalachian Trail.

If you have any comments or questions, I would love
to hear from you.

Brian
