Boyko's observation is an amusing one. It's a good candidate for a footnote.

Can't promise to include it just yet, however, because I'm expecting
(and hoping) Gene's book generates a lot of ongoing discussion, going
on well after the publication date.

So where to put such discussion? Chris asks if I'd be happy for
authors to append their own notes (glosses) to the laundered articles.
I'd say yes ... as clearly marked endnotes. Coming after the
references, if any.

I shall postpone a decision how to incorporate such glosses until I
have the whole batch of articles finished. There are several such to
go in already, and in the existing book they are footnotes. They may
not necessarily be attributed to the originator, but to the all-wise
"Ed".
