I think it's not that simple. The webpage's html source and stylesheet
can only suggest what font should be use.  It is entirely up to the
browser to take or ignore that suggestion.  For console mode browser
the font will always be that from the terminal (emulator).  I did not
installed apl385 font and yet my browser can still display most of the
apl characters except those {nand} and {lamp}.
