When J601 for Pocket PC came out I authored the page http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/PocketPC/Test%20Drive
I have not had a compatible device, so I used an emulator. An emulator! Where you cannot plug in an SD card, but you have to find clever ways to transfer files, such as Active Sync File Explore or enabling the network and logging in to a shared computer. After seeing for days now how you complain that you cannot install J on any of several physical devices, I was curious to retrace the steps for the newer J602. Here's a screenshot: http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/PocketPC/Test%20Drive#J602Update The installation is simple: - On PC, extract j602b_pocketpc.zip and - place the j602 folder on SD card - Insert SD card into Pocket PC - On Pocket PC, Run File Explorer - Go to SD card folder - press and hold stylus on j602 folder, - select Copy - Go to "My Device" folder (root of device) - press and hold on empty space - select Paste - wait until it finishes copying - Go inside J602 folder in My Device - Tap J602 to start J If you can't do as simple as this, you just lose your complaining rights. > From: DIETER ENSSLEN <[email protected]> > > Thanks Michael, > > i got the Casio Class Pad 330 latest update to work, not the J on the SD card > to > work on two of my pocket pc's yet, and not J properly installed on 3 other > pocket devices yet. > > Well, given time, it will all fall into place. > > > > thanks > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
