Nope. I don't understand Oleg's solution. Not unless you've copied the contents of the SD card into main memory. Then I suspect it doesn't matter what you rename it to. Is it even needed any more?
Delighted it all works now. (Tell your friends about http://www.undeadtree.com/charities.htm ) That's been my experience with just about all new software for the PocketPC. You fiddle with it and nothing seems to happen. Then suddenly it all works fine -- and you don't know what you did to make it work, or whether what you did was the real reason. It does a lot of internal patching up of itself on the sly. But only when it's in the mood. iPAQ rz 1710 -- no idea. But before you give it up as a bad job, have you tried a hard restart? Press the stylus in the hidden button roughly halfway down the side. Then try running J.
