Dear Ric

did you notice you used that derogatory quite once again "windup merchant". I
rest my case

i am happy to repeat for your benefit:
that CAS is the present and the future, as 1e-16 is not the same as 1e-309 nor
1e-499, nor 1e-999  etc etc and not the same as zero. For an engineer, sure,
yes , they are the same, if it is the final result of a problem.

Roger and others have made comments that indeed the trend with J is towards cas.

I am  also making a contribution for those of 'us' J ers who are not as
familiar with pocket pc's and i pod app family and other modern computing
devices and services. From many years of personal experience I can say with a
great deal of confidence that pocket pc's and such are a GREAT  deal of trouble
in comparison.

Last night's example, I had to dig around to see whether TI N spire cas  has
updates, it seems they have. Off hand, ie after some time spent, I was unable
to access the download, never mind install it.

with the i pod app family, this would all be automatic, fully, completely,
every bit of it.

mys son or one of my exes' put the capitalized letters there, sorry.

best wishes.
