There appears to be some cross compatibility issues with .JPF and .JP2 files.

I could not get ImageMagick to read .JPF or .JP2 files created by Photoshop.

I could get Photoshop to read .JP2 files created by ImageMagick, but not .JPF 
files created by ImageMagick.

QuickTime Player will read all of them.
