I'm sorry to ask this: did you do any computing since 1982? It seems
to me there is a total void of general knowledge on basic programming
(eg, how to edit and save a script) since then.  More specifically I
cannot see you post any specific question on J programming.  So what
is your progress in learning J apart from installing on different
desktop or hand held device?
