I use the erase option to clear RW disks without problems. I am using VISTA. You might want to try to erase on another computer as something might be messed up on yours. The fact that an error message is being used as a command is strange.
We have a player that claims to put video on an SD card too but I have not had any luck getting it to work either. But it won't take just any video format. I read the manual carefully and it describes exactly what it wants; however, it is in terms that don't relate to any software I have. So I haven't found the proper video format yet either. I'm just afraid that when I do find it, it will be poor quality video.
