I have several DVD+RW disks and some of them proved a bit difficult and I could not get to the format menu with them in the drive.
So I tricked the tuner by first placing a good DVD+RW in the drive and get to the option of formating and then I opened the drive removed the good DVD and replaced it with the bad one and then I could format the bad DVD without problems and afterwards it was all good and I can use any of the DVDs to record on now and move the videos to the PC.
