Thanks! ,/^:3 is a great trick here. The data I presented forms a squiggle whose graph helps me assess the quality of its creation. I can display with gdlines gddraw ,/"2 ,/^:3 data which may be preferable to reshape since I needn't interrogate data's properties. Then assign color by group when I soon prepend "groups of" to stacks of warped blocks.
