  No, well I was just asking. First of all, before the past weekend, I
  hadn't use a Windows machine for more than half an hour in the last
  8 years, so believe me, my windows expertise is really limited. :-)

  If Makefile.MingW is useful for someone interested on the project, I

  Yeah, you are right. That is why I started to try to build it using
  the usual method.  Now, everything is compiling right, but I have
  had a problem I have not been able to solve: everything is compiled
  statically.  I think I have followed all the steps on the Automake
  manual for compiling DLLs but it keeps compiling only .a files.

  I'm going to send a message to the Automake list asking for support
  on this. It is becoming a bit frustrating ';)
