I think it's a really great idea.. and in fact, it's been one of those non-technical things in which the Apache httpd is still ahead. There are a number of things we must think of though: - It is a really tough task to accomplice. For years, the GNOME- Hispano folks have been working on a GNOME 2.x development book, and after a huge amount of work it isn't still finished. - Cherokee is evolving fast. Writing a book takes months even for professional writers, so there are odds that before finishing it, we'd have to review/update it completely to reflect the latest changes. - The language would be some sort of a problem as well. I think it's easy to see that most of all are not native English speakers, so in case we chose to write it in English we would require some professional review (or quite a lot of help from a native speaker) in order to get it done and dusted. So, having said that..
