I think Cherokee shares an issue with Xen in regards to writing books .. its still too much of a moving target. Last year, I had (and gave up) a book deal for Xen .. because it moves so fast that most printed publications (beyond generics) become dated the minute that they hit the shelves. I have wanted to write a book on Xen since 2.0.7, it just won't settle down enough for me to be as comprehensive as I'd like. > - The language would be some sort of a problem as well. It is an immense effort .. and you will find that writing a text under free terms while hoping to get it published is futile. So if a 'bound' book on Cherokee emerged, it would most likely be only in English .. unless it became a best seller and the publisher translated it. Publishers are rather paranoid but interesting people. Wikis allowing canonization of verbatim printed copies (with due attribute) still seem the way to go.
