I'm not taking over nothing. Ubuntu UNIVERSE packages has no owner but the MOTU team. So anyone with a patch for any package for Universe can make it's contributions and any sponsor from the MOTU team can review and authorize the patch. In a few words this is how ubuntu universe works.. Here more explicit : https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MOTU/Sponsorship/SponsorsQueue And cherokee is in universe Ubuntu is a stable release, like Debian, so .. the current packages won't change but for security updates and that will be done with patches for those security bugs and this is not a security bug, and does not apply for a SRU. That's why I proposed to close. When I asked for the cherokee-admin package was for the next debian version and then the next ubuntu package that will be merged to Ubuntu 9.04 from Debian Unstable. So I'm not putting any new package anywhere, as Gunnar and Alvaro pointed, this bug will be closed as Won't fix. So again I'm not taking over nothing, But working with ubuntu MOTU as I've been doing for some time now. Saludos ..
