Disclaimer: I'm not a Django expert :) If you're using the uWSGI setup, you can limit the number of WSGI processes: http://projects.unbit.it/uwsgi/wiki/Example Alternatively you can try Django internal web server and use Cherokee HTTP proxy. In that way the application will use just one process. If you have low traffic, that may work too.
