I meant, the test I did was to set up a local server with "cherokee -r /tmp -p 5555". Then, I configured another instance of Cherokee to use a reverse proxy pointing to localhost:5555. I created a few files with exotic names under /tmp and retrieved then through the proxy. It seems to be related with the file names/URLs. We'd have to find some test-cases with which reproduce the problem.
