I tried that and finally got a connection, but I don't see anything
wrong with the configuration.

I note that I'm using cherokee version 0.99.39 on my remote server and
version 1.0.4 on my local machine.

I'll try upgrading to the latest version on both and see if anything changes.

After following instructions to get the cherokee ppa version I got
version 1.0.20 running on my remote server and still have 1.0.4 on my
local host (weird!).

But anyway, no change, no can see trac site!

BTW, regarding ppa APT instructions for Ubuntu/Debian:

Note that an Ubuntu user may not easily find the package with the
add-apt-repository command. If he is missing the command
"add-apt-repository" he needs to add another package by doing this:

  sudo apt-get install python-software-properties

Now the command should work. (I plan to suggest adding that note to
the docs after I get set up with svn access in a while.)

Thanks.
