I'd like to close this email chain by saying that the info in issue 445 (
http://code.google.com/p/cherokee/issues/detail?id=445) helped resolve my
http 504 errors. It turns out cherokee-admin uses port 4000 in addition to
9090 and my iptables were not allowing new incoming on that port from any
interface. I updated my iptables rules to allow new incoming on port 4040
and I'm able to load cherokee-admin pages without error on a remote client
now. This info would be useful in an FAQ for firewall config with cherokee.
Thanks for help if you replied.
