Just from the younger persons perspective, I would never expect my dad to 
finance a project like that.  I picked up my 70 when I was 17 (4 years ago).  
The way I see it, if someone else does it/finances it for you, then you don't 
respect it as much as if you did it yourself.  Then you actually know how 
much it costs to do.  My dad works with a guy that financed and built 3 cars 
for his 2 kids and I can see that they don't truly appreciate it.  I have 3 
years and well over 20 grand invested in my 70, and I feel that you need to 
know the time and money that can be dumped into a car to truly appreciate it.
